日本語を勉強する目的　purpose for studying nihongo

What’s the purpose for you to study nihongo harder?
何のために日本語を一生懸命勉強するのか？

The answer is, “To help yourself”
答えは、「自分のため」です。

If you don’t understand what Japanese are saying….
もし日本人が言っていることがわからなければ…

(1). You may be involved in fatal accident.
大事故に遭うかもしれません。
(One ex-trainee was involved in grave accident during work, and crushed his finger, then the finger was removed in the operation.)
（以前、仕事中に指を負傷した実習生がおり、結局切除しなければならなくなりました。）
The trainee really regretted because he didn’t understand what japanese worker said…
And the japanese worker enormously regretted not teaching nihongo to the trainees seriously..
This is one of the worst-case-scenario…
　その実習生は、日本人社員の方が言っていることが理解できなかったことを、ひどく後悔しました。
　日本人社員の方も、しっかりと日本語を教育していなかったことをひどく後悔していました。
　これは最悪な事例の一つです。

(2). You may cause grave misunderstanding with co-workers (japanese).
日本人社員の方と話をする際、大きな行き違いがあるかもしれません。
So far, one of the main reasons why trainee and co-japanese worker caused misunderstanding is, “Lack of nihongo ability of trainees”.
　これまで、実習生と日本人社員の方との間に行き違いが生じた主な原因の一つは、「実習生の日本語能力の欠如」です。

(3). Employers may assign only “easy, simple, menial, tedious work” to you.
実習実施機関（受入れ企業）は実習生に、簡単な、単純な、単調な作業しかさせられなくなってしまうかもしれません。
Sometimes, we receive complaints from employers that they can assign only that kind of work to trainees, because of their lack of nihongo ability.
Stated differently, employer would like to assign any work to trainees as much as possible, “if” they have a good comman of nihongo…
If employer has trust in you, and assigns various, complicated works to you, and you can learn lots of skills that
you can make use of after you return to the home country!!
　実習実施機関からの苦情の中には、「日本語能力がないために、簡単な誰でもできるような作業しかさせられない」ということもあります。
　言い換えれば、もし実習生が日本語能力を高めれば、できる限り多くのことをさせたいということです。
　実習実施機関が実習生（あなた）を信頼できるようになれば、様々な複雑なこともさせることができるようになり、帰国後に役立つことを、多く学ぶことができるようになります！

And, if you have good command of nihongo….
もしあなたの日本語能力が高ければ…

Your future will be very brighter, because you may find good job in the home country where you can make use of your nihongo ability, such as interpreter, nihongo teacher, secretary, etc, with higher salary!!
あなたの将来はより明るいものになります。なぜなら、母国で通訳や日本語教師や、秘書等、高収入を得られる仕事ができるようになるかもしれないからです！
